Memorial Day

On Monday we had planned a family day of fishing and to go to old MacDonald’s Farm. Well fishing with two little kids turned out to be nearly impossible. It was fun trying though. Plus, with a curious two-year old, an unhappy little boy and tangled fishing line. I believe we were at the lake maybe a half hour to forty-five minutes.

Well our day wasn’t done. We still needed to go to old MacDonalds Farm. Yes, Kirsten loved it; Chayson fell asleep and we enjoyed taking the time to do something all together. Everytime we asked Kirsten if she wanted to see a different animal the answer was a very sweet, but confident no. ( I will just stay here).

The Poultry House was the favorite, because there she could hold a baby chicken with help from Dad or Mom.  It was a wonderful day!

Lilly Pads

Kirsten is so creative and amazes us with it. She was a frog and her own lilly pads.

Twice The Peace With Sister & Brother Asleep

Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was great. We had breakfast at our church, served to us by the men of our church. The morning service was wonderful. We traveled to Rapid City to spend time with Grandma Dawn, Papa Jimmy and Great Grandma Carole.

Kirsten enjoyed playing outside and we even got ice cream from a neighborhood ice truck.  Chayson enjoyed being held and rolling around on the floor.

I loved being with my husband, daughter and son.

The guys played several rounds of cribbage. While us ladies visited. Chayson fall asleep on both Grandma which is pretty special.

We heard the local ice cream truck and Kirsten and I ran to try to get some ice cream. We missed it..on the way back to the house Kirsten said “`i wanted some scream” “I know honey, but the ice cream truck is gone”  BIG SIGH…”ok mommy”. Then we heard it again and ran to the corner. Kirsten got her ice cream! On the way back to the house again….I heard ‘thankyou mommy’, ‘humm this is delicious’. it was all thanks to Papa Jimmy he gave Kirsten the money to get her scream.  She proudly walked into the house and thanked Papa  Jimmy.

Squeals OF Excitement & I’m Gonna Get You

Chayson is making more and more sounds everyday. he says daddadada, mummummmummm, laughs and squeals.

Kirsten has be in I’m gonna get you phase. She does it with her Dad and Mom, but brother is the most fun.

Sharing

Kirsten rarely willing shares with her brother. She will share a toy briefly then take it for herself. This day was surprisingly different! She was sharing her cup!

Chayson Dedication

Last Sunday we asked Amber Thompson to dedicate our son, Chayson. Amber recently received her licence to preach and we wanted to extend the offer to her. We talked it over with her dad and her, being the her dad Paul Thompson is the pastor at our church. He thought it was a great idea.

Kirsten did good to. She did get a little bored about half way through and decide to go visit the people in the front row. Also, a friend of our Renee gave her a mirror to play with. Which then she needed to share the news of that with everyone….but we had no incidences of running on to the platform or running down the isles. So, we think it when great.

Amber shred the passage Jeremiah 1: 4-9 during the dedication.

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set  apart you  I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” “Ah Sovereign Lord,” I said “I do not know how to speak, I am only a child.” But  the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a child’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you, declares the Lord.

Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “Now I have put my words in your mouth.”

Amber said she felt that the verse Jeremiah 1:9 was specifically for Chayson.

Children are truly gifts from God.

Thankyou to Jamey for taking pictures &

Many Thankyou’s to Amber we love you!!!

Friday Night Fun

We were invited to the Williams house for a get together Friday night. It was all people from our church family. A smaller group of us have been meeting every other Friday evening watching and decisioning a video series on “How to Stay in Love”. We have throughly enjoyed this gathering.

There was probably about 25 to 30 people there. We want to encourage people to do life together, basically being an active church body to reach more people.  We pray for each other, take prayer requests and fellowship together.

This night was full of activity since it was more family geared then study gear. The kids playing with each other. Kirsten played until we left around 10pm. She is funny she can play with other but if they aren’t interested in what she is doing she will continue without them. I had to keep an eye on her as she managed to escape outside with no shoes on and just her socks. (It had rained earlier and yes her sock went from white to black). She shut herself in the bathroom then was knocking on the other side yelling mom. then when we were gathered outside it had to make sure she staying in the yard, because she would disappear around the corner head down the driveway pulling a wagon behind her. Keeps her parents busy!!! But it is super FUN!

I must say I do enjoy that our son, Chayson, isn’t moving around by himself yet. He enjoyed being held and playing on the floor. Plus, there was plenty of action around. One of my cherished moments of the evening was snuggled by the fire and Chayson so peacefully fell asleep on his mama.

We didn’t get many pictures. Just a few going out to their place. We are so blessed by God, the people and the area we live in.

Crazy Princess

Kirsten loves to dress up. She adores wearing dresses and even has started to requesting to wear a dress for the day. She also still loves her “Tangled” dress that she got for Christmas. She was a bit crazy mood at the time, but we managed to get a few pictures.

China Dress

Kirsten received a very special from Grandpa Doug. As the story goes he was in the airport in China and this dress just caught his eye. He knew of a very special granddaughter that would absolutely adore it.

Of course, everytime I asked Kirsten to smile she would stike a pose of her choice.
